Chicken Embryology in the Classroom

In Partenership with the Kansas State University Research and Extension Office our first graders will learn about chicken growth and development, daily journaling, record keeping, and the responsibility involved in taking care of chickens. The students will understand the importance of proper egg and chicken handling as well as the importance of hand washing.

Follow along in Mrs. Hendrickson's classroom as they watch the chicken eggs from embryo to hatching.

The baby chicks have returned to the KS State Extension office.
